PS Vita English Otome Games for 2017

As a die-hard Otome gamer, I am delighted to hear about the upcoming Japanese Otome games in Playstation Vita that will have their English localization for 2017. It is indeed a year for Otome game fans around the world! These game titles were picked by English publishers and will be available starting April 2017. Without further ado, here are the list of PS Vita English Otome Games for 2017.

1. Period Cube: ~ Amadeus of the Birdcage~

In search of your older brother’s whereabouts, you join the online RPG, “Arcadia” in search of clues. Having lost consciousness after being drawn into a mysterious light, you wake up within the game’s fantasy world! Confused and shaken by your strange yet familiar surroundings, you learn that the only way to escape this world of life-or-death is to clear the game. As the gameworld begins to crumble and fall apart, you gain the status of the “Shinken” (divine sword), key to clearing the game, and become targeted by hordes of enemies.

It's time for another MMO-themed game to arise. If you are into games such as Sword Art Online or even Accel World, this game might be perfect for you. It is developed by Idea Factor and will be released by Aksys in English on April 2017. In fact, you can now pre-order the game via Amazon here.

2. Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds

A remastered telling of the beloved Hakuoki series that focusses on the story set in Kyoto. Hakuoki was first developed and released in 2008. New players, as well as players that have grown with the franchise, can discover the beauty and richness of its story with new, innovative features all presented on the PlayStation Vita system. Never-before-seen episodes and character routes have been added to the original version of the game, introducing more romanceable targets, new minor characters, and plenty of new paths to seek for yourself! Take a glimpse into the world of Hakuoki, as it was originally intended!

I played the original Hakuoki via PS3. Although up until now, I didn't finish the game yet because I am not a fan of Japanese era-themed games. Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds contains the original game plus more male character routes added. Also developed by Idea Factory and will be getting its English localization thru Idea Factory International on Spring 2017.

3. Collar X Malice

“Who put this collar on me?” The protagonist is a policewoman who works in Shinjuku, which had become a dangerous city after a series of brutal incidents popularly referred to as the “X-Day Incident”. She had been busy working in her assigned area everyday in order to keep it safe. But one night, an unknown assailant attacked her and placed a collar built in with poison around her neck. Amidst the chaos and right before the protagonist’s eyes were men with suspicious backgrounds. They’re all part of an organisation composed of former police officers and have taken it upon themselves to investigate the brutal cases. Without knowing whether she should trust these men or not, she suddenly became the person who held the key to this massive case. In order to remove the collar that places her at the edge of death and to liberate Shinjuku from the malice that binds it, she cooperates; beginning to investigate the incidents with the men. Who holds her life in their hands? Will Shinjuku ever return to its former glory?

The heroine as a policewoman? Yes please! I am looking forward of playing this game next to Code: Realize fandisc. It's interesting to play a game that you need to be imaginative and think hard plus fall in love with your fellow co-working at the same time. Collar X Malice is developed by Idea Factory and and will be getting its English localization thru Aksys Games for this year 2017.

4. Bad Apple Wars

The game follows a protagonist who winds up at a strange school after an accident at the school entrance ceremony. She finds herself in front of a school named NEVAEH, an academy for the souls of bad students. Graduating from this school earns the students a second chance at life.

I am really curious about the whole plot of Bad Apple Wars. At some point, it kinda reminds me of Persona but it's more on the heavier side. Bad Apple Wars is developed by Idea Factory and got its licence to have its English localization by Aksys Games. It will be released this year 2017.

5. Code: Realize ~Future Blessings~

Code: Realize ~Future Blessings~ or Code: Realize Fandisc follows the after story of Cardia Beckford and the five male main characters. In addition, they added new routes from the previous sub-characters of the first game - Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ - namely Herlock Sholmes and Finis. I highly recommend playing the first game before the fandisc. You won't regret it because the story is just awesome.

Code: Realize ~Future Blessings~ is developed by Idea Factory and will be having its English localization for this year 2017 by Aksys Games.

So which Otome game is your most favorite among the five mentioned above and why? Leave a comment on this post so we can fan girl about it with you!
